- Data handling and security
- Fathom says all data is stored in the US and it's SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and GDPR compliant. Its May 2026 DPA says data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Its privacy policy authorizes no third party to train AI on meeting content; Fathom may train its own on de-identified data unless you opt out.Read November 5, 2026: privacy policy, security page. What it does
Fathom records and transcribes your Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, and its help centre says it writes the AI summary into HubSpot, Salesforce or Close and drafts a follow-up email from the call's action items.
In Salesforce, the summary is logged as a Task on the Contact whose primary email matches an external attendee, by default as soon as the meeting ends and the summary is ready. With Create Tasks turned on, each action item becomes a Task on every open Opportunity linked to that Contact, or on each external Contact on the call when there's no open Opportunity.
In HubSpot, the notes sit under the meeting event and action items can go across as tasks. The HubSpot article says an edit to the summary in Fathom re-syncs at once.
On the Business and Enterprise plans, Deal View summarizes every call on a deal in one place. You can map sections of that deal summary, such as next steps or pain points, to text fields on the HubSpot or Salesforce deal.
Ask Fathom, the chat on each call, can also draft the follow-up email, and the release notes say that since May 2026 it writes from you, using your name and company.
With auto-share turned on, Fathom sends the summary, with or without the recording, to everyone on the calendar invite right after the meeting ends.
Who it fits
Fathom fits reps and sales teams who meet prospects on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams and keep their deals in HubSpot, Salesforce or Close.
Fathom's pricing page leaves AI follow-up emails off the Free plan and caps CRM sync at three users per email domain on Free, Premium and Team. In November 2026 it listed Team at $15 per user a month billed annually, with a two-user minimum, so three reps cost $45 a month.
Past three reps, the pricing table shows CRM sync without that cap on Business, listed at $25 per user a month billed annually ($34 monthly), also with a two-user minimum. Business adds the deal-field mapping and Deal View. Enterprise, at $35 per user a month on annual billing only, adds SSO, SCIM provisioning and retention rules.
Fathom's case studies include Bluleadz, a HubSpot implementation agency whose six-person sales team, Fathom says, saves 7.5 hours a week per rep on notes and CRM updates.
I'd shortlist it if your reps already work in HubSpot or Salesforce and the slow part after a call is typing it up. Compare the other sales follow-up agents on what each one does with the email.
My sales operations post prices a custom build of this workflow at $10,000 to $20,000. Five reps on Fathom's Business plan cost $1,500 a year at the November 2026 annual price.
Limitations
Fathom's follow-up email is a draft you copy and paste into your own email client, per its help centre, so a rep still opens the inbox to send it.
Its Salesforce sync doesn't support Leads. If no Contact matches an external attendee's primary email, Fathom writes nothing. Closed opportunities get no new activity, and internal-only meetings, calls without a calendar event and events on secondary calendars don't sync.
Fathom's HubSpot article likewise needs the contact on the scheduled meeting, matched by primary email.
The Salesforce article says a mapped deal field's existing value is overwritten, then refreshed with the latest deal summary after each new meeting.
Fathom's compatibility FAQ says it doesn't currently support phone calls, Zoom phone calls among them, or webinars.
None of the help-centre articles read for this profile documents a log of what Fathom wrote to the CRM. For a failed Salesforce sync, the article sends you to Salesforce's own logs, then to Fathom support.
Fathom's own pages disagree on the Free plan. The pricing table gives it CRM sync for up to three users per domain, while the CRM integrations page says core CRM sync starts on paid individual plans.
Fathom announced on September 14, 2026 that it's now part of Superhuman. The announcement said nothing changed for users that day, and the terms and privacy policy name Fathom Video Inc.
Trustpilot's one- and two-star filter showed 12 reviews in November 2026, and the three newest, from April and August 2026, fault support or cancelling. I'd run the free trial on real calls and pin a success metric, such as the share of summaries that land on the right record, before paying for a year.
