Hypothesis Validation
Should product managers know how to code? There is no one right answer. Both yes and no are valid options. There are pros and cons to both these opinions.
I do not want to provide my personal opinion at this point as I am waiting for a decent number of responses. Publishing my personal opinion may result in a bias which I am looking to avoid.
At the same time, I do not want to limit this to a particular demographic. Many product managers come from a specific field of study, but I want the results to be as broad based as possible. For this reason, I am deliberately trying to get responses from a diverse audience base.
The results of the poll will be used to validate the common hypothesis that most people expect product managers to know at least a basic level of coding.
For the purposes of this article, even the ability to write a simple SQL script is a valid form of coding.
However, depending on the industry type, the knowledge of various other programming language may also be required.
